My Lapband Story started 7 years ago.
After trying for over 5 years to fall pregnant and of course all the usual suspects to lose weight, my GP suggested Lapband surgery at a start weight of 174kgs.
In my mind i thought i would have the surgery, lose the weight and then have the band taken out and no one would know a thing. I am now so glad i didn't do that because i need the band more than ever right now.
So i was banded in April 2002, lost close to 50kgs over the next 2 years and then fell pregnant. I was so happy and i wanted to be able to eat enough and healthy for my growing baby so i had all the fill taken out.
I am now 7 years down the track from my original operation and i am ashamed to say back at 170kgs.
Today i have just returned home from 'band camp' more motivated than i think i have ever been so......my new lapband story starts right now on the 26th July 2009.
It's gonna be a long, hard, emotional road but with my new support network i know i am GOING TO DO IT!!!!
Wish me luck and lets get this ride started!!!
